EMC = Electromagnetic Compability
Beside for all the IT products it is also becoming more important for household appliances, lighting fixtures and power tools.
All these products are getting more complex with their electronic features such as various controls to satisfy our daily life.
Each kitchen machine, power tool, electrical toy, does contain at least one micro processor.
Just imagine each of these products will create uncontrolled electromagnetic interference in your home, or will be sensitive for any electromagnetic noise which results in no function!

When do you need a EMC test?
Manufacturers and Importers are by law responsible to keep the conformity with the harmonized standards during the life time of their product.
Market surveillance have reached a common level in Europe to issue complains to importers including a fine or a sales ban.
Both are costly, damage reputations and are unnecessary as PEMA can avoid such fines.
Pema will avoid such damage and conduct EMC tests on sample in the early stage of the product development or when your new selected product will be shipped for the first time.
Even on each product modification we recommend a new EMC Test or at least a EMC Spot test regarding the modified part.
Our EMC laboratory is certified by several international recommended certification bodies.
The Pema Test Reports are detailed photo documented of all relevant product parts, easy to verify by any third party. |
